Home is...
"A house is made of bricks and beams. A home is made of hopes and dreams." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Newborn sessions at home have a whole vibe. It’s really the best kind of vibe because it’s your family in your own space, sometimes for the very first time being photographed.
If you’re like I was as a first-time parent, you spent months decorating and collecting, arranging stuffies or books or ornaments, all while dreaming about a baby that hadn’t even been born yet.
All this care creates an home exploding in an expression of love to that little one. And why not capture it in those new snuggly days of newborn blur.

When I had the chance to capture my dear friend, her husband, their brand-new squish, and a few VIPs—hello Mom and Sister—I knew this session was going to be something special. Because photographing a newborn is never just about the baby. It’s about the people who already love them to the moon and back, the hands that will hold them through life’s ups and downs, and the home that will be their first safe haven.

In between the cuddles and laughter, I love to focus on the tiny details—the tiny shoes that were once worn by Dad as a baby, the tiny fingers wrapped around Dad’s thumb, and those tiny precious baby stretches. These are the things that change almost instantaneously. One minute, this tiny little angel is impossibly small, and the next moment they’re riding a bike.
How beautiful it is that we can freeze life in frames, that we take the time to stop for a moment, capture the season where life actually happens.
So, to my sweet friend and her beautiful family—thank you for inviting me into your home and trusting me with these moments. One day, when life feels a little less like a blur of baby giggles and sleepless nights, I know these photos will remind you of just how beautiful it all was.
