Session Process and Pricing
Pre-Shoot Consultation
Portrait sessions include a pre-shoot consultation to discuss your needs and my vision. Together we will establish what you’d like your images to communicate. By the end of the consultation we will have decided on a theme and colour scheme for your shoot, and I will give you direction for clothing to bring to your session. You are encouraged to bring multiple clothing options.
Proofing Gallery
After your shoot, you will receive a proofing gallery within 5 days. These proofs will have gone through a soft edit process that includes cropping, colour balancing, and basic retouching.
From this gallery you can select the images you love and want to purchase.
Final payment is required before final editing takes place.
Final Gallery
Once you select your images to purchase, they will pass through the final editing process. Typically this includes removing flyaway hairs and correcting blemishes.
My take on Retouching
As a photographer, my goal is to capture you honestly and showcase your unique character and image. I do this by guiding the styling, directing poses, creating flattering light and setting the scene for your portrait to make a statement without saying words.
But each photographer approaches editing differently, which means the same image can be edited in countless ways.
I believe editing should enhance a portrait, not change it, so my retouching style is minimal. Your proofing gallery will have mostly untouched images, and then together we can discuss the elements that we are both comfortable with enhancing.
Typically final edits include skin softening, blemish correction, removing flyaway hairs, and decreasing shine in highlight areas.

Wardrobe Guide
I recommend clothes that reflect how you’d want to be perceived but keep in mind comfort and ability to pose. If you’re not comfortable, you won’t look comfortable. And a well-fitted wardrobe is a key piece in any photoshoot. Solid colours are normally preferable to patterns, with some exceptions.
Men should avoid thin pinstripe shirts. Women should avoid sheer fabrics.
*Logos on clothing will not be retouched.
